I and my friends at this Pit Bull friendly website and Bully Breed Blog, will do everything possible to;
- Change the negative Pit Bull stigma
- STOP Breed Specific Legislation
- Support our local shelters
- Offer free Pit Bull training advice
We will also be proactive and offer Bully Breed training advice to any dog owner regardless of breed. We also recognize that making changes in our beloved pets begins first with making changes within ourselves.
We will also promote healthy and safe dog ownership through our Pit Bull Groups as well as provide support and relief to our local shelters and the animals they house.
We pledge to honor the heritage of America’s Greatest Underdog, the Pit Bull Terrier, and stand together wholeheartedly in its defense.
i have a question for you. you seem to know alot about bully breeds. i adopted a staffy/i think bulldog mix a few months ago. he is absolutely the sweetest dog at home, loves every1, i doubt he would even be a good deterant for burglers?? he’s probably help them carry the stuff out if they’d pet him abit? but since getting him he has been in 6 fights. 2 were not his fault at all and 2 looked more like mutual but the last two as much as i hate to say it he started. and this last one if i hadnt grabbed him and kept him from shaking he probably would have ripped the other dogs neck out? luckily it was a colony dog and my dog was on a leash so we didnt get into trouble. he isnt aggressive towards all dogs? i know atleast 3 he really likes but i just dont trust him to meet new dogs? my last dog would give me warning like growling or baring her teeth and her hair stand on end but this guy… he doesnt give any warning/ he almost acts like he enjoys it?
srry i dotn mean to ramble on, my question is how should i start to socializing him?? or should i even be trying to? at the dog park i have been letting him meet dogs through the fence. i show him they are nice by petting them and talking very gently. i give him positive reinforcement when he doesnt go nuts trying to get at them. im wondering what would you recommend as far as socializing this guy??
